Spring 2015 and Early Summer 2015 Recap

Hey Folks!

Been a little while since I’ve had some time to catch you up on what’s been cooking in this neck of the woods. I’ve taken little breaks here and there, finished some new songs, and given those a bit of a litmus test at a few venues.

At the end of April, I had the great pleasure of attending and performing at LAUNCH Music Conference in Lancaster, PA! Made some new friends in the process. You like the rock music? Here are some folks that you should go out to see and buy their records. The Great Heights Band, Hot Jam Factory, Jonathan Tea.

Over Memorial Day weekend, I had the chance to raise the decibel levels as a duo with Kelly Ann Beavers at The Electric Maid in Takoma Park, MD. If that name sounds familiar, you must know her from the fab rock quintet Bells & Hunters. Total Blast  supporting Austin, TX band The Sideshow Tragedy. Another band the author recommends.

One being a new music venue called Villain & Saint in downtown Bethesda, MD on June 5th. It was a pleasure to support ilyAIMY that Friday evening (listen to them too, they are quite good). Go pop in there sometime. You might find yourself in there again and again.

I have also gotten involved with a really neat charity based in Rhode Island called Wear Your Music. Guitar Strings turned into bracelets. How cool is that? If you would like to purchase a bracelet made with some of my strings, your dollars benefit the charity Musicians on Call. More details here

The EP is getting mixed. Yes! 4 Songs in total were tracked at Low Watt Recording in Savannah, GA. Merch will be available at shows and available online later this year. The jigsaw is coming together. Stay tuned. To all supporters of the Indiegogo Campaign, thank you for your patience! More updates headed your way soon.

Upcoming shows in July! Will be at the Wonderland Ballroom in Columbia Heights on Thurs, July 9th. Opening for Simply Subtle. Please come out. I’d love to see your faces. It's a Thursday. Start your weekend early.

Then I’ll be back in Harrisburg, PA on Saturday, July 11 playing at 2nd and Charles with my friends Jon Garcia & the Hopeless Romantics, Hot Jam Factory and J & the 9’s. Music starts at 1 PM. Pack a Lunch. Maybe some PixyStix. Dump em on a sandwich. You’ll get a rush one way or another.

Stay cool. This summer has already turned into a scorcher.

Thanks and talk to you soon!
