Recap of World Cafe Live at The Queen Theatre!

Hey Folks!

The past two weeks have been nothing short of amazing, and I would like to tell you a little bit about them in a series of recaps (three total). Here is the first!

I had an opportunity to play on a bill at the World Café Live at the Queen Theatre! Yes, that World Café, the radio station (WXPN) in which the great David Dye calls home. Pretty amazing! They have two beautiful music venues, one in Center City Philly and in Wilmington, Delaware. Gable Music Ventures set up the night on April 5th in Wilmington and everyone was treated to a splendid and intimate listening room environment, where respect was given to both the performer and audience.

In this day in age, it’s rare that one experiences any type of show without the pervasiveness of cell phones attempting to capture a moment in time, and/or the incessant blathering of patrons which can sometimes (unfortunately) bleed into the live music. As an artist, you cherish these moments of being able to tell a story to 100+ people and make music with the idea of creating a communal experience for everyone involved.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think there would be an opportunity to perform in a room like The World Café. It was truly a privilege to share the stage which such fantastic musicians, and to be able to catch up with family and friends that were able to come to the show.  Thank You.
