Part II - Charlotte, Asheville, Johnson City and Charlottesville - April 2014

Hey Folks!

Okay, wanted to share Part II of this little jaunt full of out of town sets…

Charlottte, NC – The Evening Muse – great responses to Farragut Square, 19 East and an unreleased tune I’ve been kickin around for a little bit called “Salem.” The Muse is like IOTA in Charlotte, good people, vibes and sound!

Asheville, NC – Tallgary’s Cantina – this was my first visit to Asheville and can’t wait to get back there some other time! Tallgary’s is a sweet little Mexican restaurant with live music and again, great sound. It’s wonderful to play places where people truly care about original music. Voltage Records  and Write On are must stops, and so is Green Sage which serves the most amazing vegetable soup. Holy cow, my taste buds are still jumping for joy!

Johnson City, TN – The Acoustic CoffeeHouse - one hour west of Asheville is this quaint industrial town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of East Tennessee. If you like bluegrass, and old time-y folk with flourishes of acoustic Dead and Old & in the Way on your stereo, well than look no further than this gem of an establishment. Met one of the members of an excellent bluegrass band called The Barefoot Movement that day, and looking forward to getting back that way for another show, plus hitting up the Gray fossil museum.

Charlottesville, VA – The Haven - Located inside a church converted into a music venue, this short set was featured as part of the Tom Tom Founders Music Festival! C’ville was full of crazed fun, it also happened to fall on the same day as Thomas Jefferson’s birthday! Great sound, packed house, can't go wrong with that combo!

Just a little snapshot.  More to come!
