Featured Artist of the Week on American Veterans Radio - September 6-12

Hi Gang,

Just a reminder that I will be American Veterans Radio's Artist of the Week from September 6-12. It's a great privilege to play music and share it with our Armed Forces around the world.  Click here to listen. AVR has been so kind to play some of my music every hour during the 2nd week of September. Our military does so many thankless and classified things to protect our freedom. Check out their page on the link. Thanks.

"Farragut Square" Featured in the LOCKN’ Times!

Hey Folks!

Really cool news. I’ve learned recently that Relix Magazine has selected my song "Farragut Square" to be a part of a compilation disc that’s being given out at this year’s LOCKN' Festival! Check out the lineup. It's 4 packed days full of Awesome bands!

If any friends are planning to go to the festival (near Charlottesville, VA), be sure to pick up a copy of the LOCKN’ Times! That is where you will find the CD!

Please Support This Campaign to Fund My New Record!!!

Hi Everyone!!!

I want to tell you about an exciting project that I have an opportunity to be a part of in 2014. Plain and simple….

I will be traveling to one of my favorite places in the world, Savannah, GA in early November 2014 to record some songs with producer Ted Comerford.
Ted has produced a few nationally-known bands such as Jonas Sees in Color, Jukebox the Ghost, Juniper Lane, Virginia Coalition, A Fragile Tomorrow and
others. Mitch Easter (Wilco, REM, Ben Folds Five, Dinosaur, Jr., Pavement) will be mixing this recorded batch of songs. This project would include 5
songs as a collection and release them straight to you, in the hands in the fans.

Needless to say, I’m stoked for this opportunity to commit some songs to tape with these well-regarded producers/musicians!

The amount I am trying to raise to support this album is $5,200. Let's raise enough money and make this happen together!!! :)

If it turns out that there are some extra funds remaining after we meet this goal, they will go to support a music video for one of the songs on this
new recording, and towards some promotion of the new album.

If you’re willing to contribute to this campaign, we’ve got some really cool incentives, like secret keychains, handwritten lyrics, a Savannah inspired
bumper sticker, personal concerts, t-shirts, and of course, digital and autographed physical copies of the new album.

Thanks as always for your continued support of my music and other independent musicians!! I will be grateful for any amount you can contribute to
making this project a reality! See you out there at a show, or drop me a line sometime! Thank you.

May - June Update: Show at Little Amps with Lowland Hum, Interview with That Mag, Feature on American Veterans Radio, Show at Ebenezer's with Jessica Graae!

Hey Folks!

WOW, can you believe it's already June??!  Anyway, It's been a good couple of weeks here. Played a super fun show at Little Amps Coffee Roasters in Harrisburg, PA on May 31 with Lowland Hum. They're a duo from Greensboro, NC and if you like folk music and sweet harmonies, they will probably be right up your alley.

Also in May, I had an awesome opportunity to sit down with Philadelphia-based magazine That Mag and do an in-person interview!  You can read it right here

A few other things that I would like to tell you about... 1) My music was recently discovered by American Veterans Radio! They broadcast all over the world 24/7 in 179 countries and on all 7 continents, and they are currently playing my recordings here, there and everywhere! This is a wonderful honor to have my music appreciated in this way, and to think that your art, the sounds you make with your guitar and voice, are perhaps helping someone get through difficult and/or uncertain times.

Coming up, I have a few spectacular shows in the not so distant future! Will be playing with a show with my friend, Wilmington, DC-based folk singer Jessica Graae, who is celebrating the release of her new album "Gypsy Blood" with a show at Ebenezer's Coffee House on Friday, June 13th! If you live in the DC area, you should come out to this wonderful, intimate venue just a few short blocks from the Union Station metro station.  Tickets can be purchased here in advance right here.

Check out the Shows page for more details! Looking forward to seeing you out and about over the next few weeks!

FEST TOO and Takoma Porch 2014 Shows this past Weekend!

Hi Gang!

What a wonderful weekend of music it was! First, helping out with a benefit show by playing a short set for FEST TOO at St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub this past Friday! FEST TOO is a very cool 3 day DIY event going on in Alexandria June 26-28. Plus, they have a few workshops on sustainability, bike repair and some other interesting topics. Check it out.

This past Saturday, I played two sets as part of Takoma Porch 2014 in Takoma Park, MD! This was their inaugural fest, and it was quite an awesome experience making a few people shake their bones and smile in this eclectic neighborhood right on the District border. Thanks to everyone who dropped by on foot and/or bike, and for the nice family that allowed me to make a bit of a racket yesterday. We had FUN!

Next up, Buzz Bakery in Alexandria on 5/19 and El Paso in Arlington on 5/20. Let’s keep it going this week!
